Summer Swim Teams Build Skills, Confidence

Zarzaur Zingrays  
Based at Bear Levin Studer

We are thrilled to announce our 4th season of the Zingrays, with presenting sponsor Zarzaur Law, P.A.

This team provides a developmental opportunity for swimmers who have basic competence in the water but who may not be ready for a competitive school or community team, or for families who may not be able to afford a traditional swim team. Swimmers are required only to be able to swim safely across the pool to join the team. Team is under the direction of Bonnie Steffensmeier, Regional Aquatics Director. 

We are preparing to welcome 40 swimmers who will compete in five area meets. 

We are grateful for the support of Zarzaur Law, without whom this team would not be possible.

Location

  • Practices will be held at the Hunter Pool beginning May 27.
  • Practices are Monday-Thursday, 5-6 pm.
  • Meets will be held at various pools in the area. Dates TBD.

Registration

  • Registration opens April 1 in person at the Bear Levin Studer Y, downtown.
  • Stays open until team roster is full at 40 swimmers.

Ages

  • Zingrays team is open to swimmers age 4-14.

Cost

  • $100/swimmer for the season.
  • Includes team shirt and swim cap; all practices and meets; end-of-season gift and celebration.

Wahoos 
Based at Pullum

The Wahoo Swim Team has been a long-standing summer opportunity for young swimmers in Navarre. Registration for the 2025 team opens April 1, with practices beginning in May.

Location

  • Practices will be held at the Pullum pool on Mon/Wed/Thurs from 6:30-7:30 pm in May and after Aug. 8.
  • Practices will be held at the Pullum pool on Mon-Fri from 7-8 am and on Mon/Wed/Thurs from 6:30-7:30 pm in June & July.
  • Meets will be held at various pools. Dates TBD.

 

Registration

  • Registration opens April 1, both online and in person at the Y.

Ages

  • Wahoos team is open to swimmers age 5-14.
  • All participants must pass swim test.

Cost

  • $215/swimmer for Household Members
  • $375/swimmer for all others
  • Includes team shirt and swim cap; all practices and meets.
