We have a daily fee of $15. Bring in your photo ID, and we will sign you in at the Welcome Center.

Members may bring in one guest per visit and are responsible for their guest's behavior. We ask guests to present a photo ID with their name and date of birth, sign in at the Welcome Center, and be accompanied by a member. Each prospective member will be allowed 3 visits per calendar year.

We do not partner with Silver Sneakers or any insurance companies directly. Some insurance companies may reimburse you for your membership dues. We will provide your attendance report upon request in these situations.

For any seniors who feel that membership dues are out of reach, we encourage you to apply for Y Assistance, which provides reduced rates on a sliding scale based on income.

We do not offer any across-the-board discounts based on affiliation or job category, such as active duty or retired military or first responder.

We believe everyone belongs at the Y. Therefore, we offer reduced membership and program fees on a sliding scale to anyone who qualifies, based on income. If fees feel out of reach, we encourage you to apply for Y Assistance

No, we do not charge a fee to cancel. If circumstances change and you decide to leave the Y, request a cancellation by the 25th of the month for it to take effect the following month.

Yes, we do participate. All you need is your ID to visit our branches as a Nationwide member. Please check with your home branch to verify that they participate, making you eligible. Members should hold their membership at the branch where they spend 51% or more of their time.

Normally, the busiest day for the facility is Monday, while the quietest days are usually Thursday and Friday.

Generally, the busiest time at BLS and BJP is 4-7 pm on weekdays. Between 1-3 pm and after 7 pm are usually the quietest times.

Members and guests of BLS receive 3 hours of free parking at each visit in the Southtowne Parking Garage across the street. You must validate your license plate number upon arrival at each and every visit. You have 30 minutes from the time you enter the garage to do so. The YMCA does not own or manage the garage, but we do pay a monthly fee so that members have access at no additional charge. If you should receive a ticket from Premium Parking, follow the instructions on the citation to appeal. The same system is in place for the small lot immediately behind the Y.

The sauna temperature is between 150-175* and the steam room temperature is between 110-120* (ideally 115-118*).

Youth ages 10-12 (on a Household Membership) may use cardio equipment and participate in some group exercise classes if accompanied by a parent. Teens ages 13-15 have access to all areas of the branch, except for some free weights. Teens age 16 and older have full access to the Y with no restrictions. All other children are welcome in KidZone or as participants in a supervised program.

No, we do not require reservations for any group fitness classes at any locations.

Program registration for most programs is available online through this website. Visit the appropriate page for details on upcoming program sessions. Registration will open automatically. You can also register in person at our branches.

Most programs are open to the community, even if you aren't a Y member. However, Y members have priority registration and pay a lower program fee.

We close pools during active thunder and lightning. We may limit indoor pool use based on the proximity of thunder and lightning. Pools will re-open after 30 minutes of no severe weather activity.

Use our Swim Lesson Selector to help you determine the right swim class for your child, based on age and ability.
