Summer Swim Teams Build Skills, Confidence
Zarzaur Zingrays

Summer 2024 was the third year for the Zingrays, with presenting sponsor Zarzaur Law, P.A. This team provides a developmental opportunity for swimmers who have basic competence in the water but who may not be ready for a competitive school or community team, or for families who may not be able to afford a traditional swim team. Swimmers are required only to be able to swim safely across the pool to join the team. Team is under the direction of Bonnie Steffensmeier, Regional Aquatics Director.
This season, we welcomed 39 swimmers who competed in five area meets. We've now said goodbye to six swimmers from the past three seasons who have moved up to more competitive teams. We're sad to lose them, but proud of what they have accomplished as a Zingray.
We are grateful for the support of Zarzaur Law, without whom this team would not be possible.

Wahoos
Based at Pullum
The Wahoo Swim Team has been a long-standing summer opportunity for young swimmers in Navarre. Beginning May 1, the Wahoos will practice Mon/Wed/Thur at 6:30 pm. Beginning May 31, practices will be Mon-Fri at 7 am in addition to the three practices in the evenings.
