Member Code of Conduct

Members are expected to consistently model the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and to affirm, reinforce and reward behaviors that support these values. Members are asked to report behavior that is inconsistent with these values. The YMCA conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members, participants, and guests. If a sex offender match occurs, the YMCA reserve the right to cancel membership, end program participation, and remove access.

General Policies

No membership requires a contract. Membership is paid on the first of the month with a debit card, credit card, or bank draft.

You can join at the Regional Rate, which gives you complete membership privileges and access to our locations, or at a lower single branch rate to have access only to the Pullum Branch. A Regional Membership also offers access to most Ys in the United Stations through Nationwide Membership. Each new membership is typically charged a $50 Joiner's Fee. This is a one-time fee as long as membership does not lapse for more than 90 days. There is no Joiner's Fee for Young Adult or Y Assistance memberships. If you have just moved to the area and were an active Y member in another community, we will waive your Joiner's Fee if we can verify your recent membership.

We offer a Daily Membership which entitles you to membership benefits for a day. If you join the Y within one week of a Daily, we will credit your first month's membership for that fee.

If you would like to suspend your membership for a short period, we ask that you cancel and return when you are ready. This will ensure that your membership starts again only when you are ready. If you return within 90 days of canceling, you won't pay a Joiner's Fee.

All requests for membership changes and cancellations must be received by the 25th of the month to take effect the following month. These requests can be made online or in person at your home branch.

Guest Policy

Members may bring in one guest per visit and are responsible for their guest's behavior. We ask guests to present a photo ID with a date of birth, sign in at the Welcome Center, and be accompanied by a member.

The guest policy is intended to reach prospective members and give them an opportunity to try the Y. A prospective member may visit our Y three (3) times in a calendar year. After three visits, we will ask the prospective member to join.

Nationwide Membership

The YMCA of Northwest Florida participates in Nationwide Membership. Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the United States at no extra charge through membership at your home Y. Nationwide Membership is valid for active, full facility Y members. Members must use their home Y at least 50% of the time. Simply present your photo ID at any participating Y. Some limitations may apply.
