From the Director – HCA Florida West Partnership

Thanks to a new corporate partnership with HCA Florida West Hospital, we are excited to bring you high-quality seminars and workshops with real healthcare professionals. We welcome the HCA team into our branches - real doctors, nurses, therapists, nutritionists - to deliver trusted information and answer your questions on health topics that matter to you.

We invite you to participate in FREE community seminars conveniently offered right at your YMCA. These are open to the community as well, so bring a friend. No registration required.

Our first two events will take place in the HCA Florida West Hospital Health Education Center at the Gulf Breeze Y: “Latest Advancements in Cardiology” in February and “Women’s Health” in March.

Future sessions will be offered in the Gulf Breeze Health Education Center and in the former Andrews Institute space at BLS, which will undergo renovation this spring.

"This partnership will increase the depth and breadth of programming that we can offer our members and the community inside our branches,” Wellness Director Jen Beres said. “The team from HCA Florida West is eager to connect with the community, and we’re thrilled to have them.”

The Y team is optimistic that members will feel more comfortable and less intimidated to attend seminars inside the Y, rather than in a clinical setting. Both partners are open to requests and suggestions from members on topics you’d like to see covered.
