It is officially summertime, which means that there are lots of opportunities for outdoor activities! Research has shown that spending time outside can have many benefits for your body and mind. It is recommended to spend at least 20 minutes outside per day, which can improve your overall well-being.

  • increase your sleep quality

While spending time outside has its benefits, it is important to stay safe in the summer heat.

  • Try to spend time outside in the morning or evening to avoid the intense heat and UV rays.
  • Be sure to stay hydrated throughout the day.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. 
  • Practice safety around water.
