From the Director – Gulf Breeze Is Open!

We’re excited for our members to unwrap your Christmas and New Year’s gift from the Y: a beautiful, new, and fully updated Community YMCA at Gulf Breeze!

Our soft opening happened right on schedule, several days before Christmas, to rave reviews from members who lined up for entry on day one. All Gulf Breeze members and Regional members now have full access to this site.

While we continue to finetune operational details, we’re excited to invite members and the community to our Grand Opening Event this Saturday, Jan. 4, from 11 am – 3 pm. This event will feature food, music, giveaways and drawings, and fun for the whole family. In addition, anyone who joins on event day will not pay a Joiner’s Fee.

Here's the detailed schedule:

8:30 am     Strong Nation class with Dana
9:30 am    Zumba class with Dana
10:30 am    CHISEL class with Beth
11 am    Official Ribbon Cutting and Drawing for Free 2025 Membership
11 am-1 pm     MESS Hall activities for kids in the HCA West Florida Community Education Room
11:30 am    Yogalates with Marcy
1-3 pm    Community Outreach with HCA Florida West Hospital team members representing mental health, dietetics, cardiology, stroke, rehab, emergency services, and women's health.

We are using a new frictionless entry system at the Gulf Breeze location. We’ve chosen this system for safety reasons, as it will safeguard everyone by ensuring that only members are accessing the facility. You now will check in with your face – just like many of us already do with our phones – using facial authentication. No personal data is used or shared in this process, so your privacy is protected.

Many members have already been enrolled in the check-in system. We will be staffed up at this location, so team members will be available to support you and get you enrolled as needed.

We are expanding staffed hours for the coming weeks to support you:

Monday-Friday, 8 am-8 pm
Saturday, 8 am-5 pm
Sunday, 12-5 pm
