Meet Kara! Kara re-joined the YMCA in April 2021. A lover of sunshine, sustainable tourism, travel and enjoying a good sunset with friends, Kara is the creator of Pensacola’s first and only Destination Management Company – Escape to Pensacola and Beyond.

Kara has lived, worked, and traveled to 40 countries. On the weekends, you can normally find her downtown creating a fun experience on the Pensacola Pedal Trolley while meeting and greeting dozens of people from near and far.

Kara came to the Bear Levin Studer YMCA because of the variety of group classes and likes having the option to switch up her workout. Her fitness journey began when she got into sports back in grade school. While she’s pretty much played very sport under the sun, Kara says her favorites are definitely running, beach volleyball, and biking. She credits sports to really building up her confidence.
Outside of the YMCA, Kara is a fan of the great outdoors, beaching it, and planning trips for herself and her clients. Besides working out, you can also find her being creative.
