Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourself. - Romans 12:10

"God is my father, my refuge, my cornerstone, and guides my life."

Christina Neat is married to her best friend, James II, who is a pilot for the U.S. Air Force. He is currently deployed, but they are a very strong family unit. Without God, life would be even more difficult, she says. Together they have four treasured gifts -three boys and one girl.

Although she’s been a member of the Pullum YMCA only since August, Christina's Y story began 10 years ago after a motorcycle accident which required multiple surgeries, including learning to walk again. At the time, she was a single parent. Without proper insurance and with limited income, adequate therapy was not available to her. While living in Orlando, she went to the Downtown YMCA. After explaining her situation, she was given a membership through the YMCA’s Y Assistance Program. With her heart filled with joy, she began her road to recovery.

The Y has somehow always been a part of her life. At age 3, she was on the Y swim team. She is very happy she gets to share the Y with her family now.

Some interesting facts about Christina:She is a sucker for Oreos and a connoisseur of coffee. She loves the ocean but is terrified of lakes. She’d rather be attacked by a shark than an alligator. Finally, she's a fan of art and photography and hugs!

Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
