December Health Spotlight

Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season. Wellness will feel different, but is nonetheless still an important practice during the holidays. Taking care of ourselves and congregating look very different this year. However, we have a unique opportunity to embrace what we do have access to and creative ways to use our strength safely. Now is the perfect time to try something new. Ever wanted to try pickleball or take that Spinning class? Now that you have some days off, coming in to experience something new may encourage you to kick off the new year with a new passion for yoga or world vibes dance.

Our staff and trainers are still dedicated to the highest level of cleanliness and safety. We are working hard to make sure that equipment and the wellness environment are damage free and easily accessible. At the Bear Levin Studer Branch specifically, we appreciate your patience when equipment is being repaired and extend a huge thank you to Morgan, who has been overseeing maintenance and repair. Have you had a chance to try our Nautilus Glute Drive? No more finding a table and tracking down weights in the middle of the floor! Give it a try and tell us what you think!

The Y can help you make your health a priority during the holidays. While the schedule may change through the remainder of the year, we are committed to making fitness and wellness a click away with access to support from a wellness coach to personal training services to keep you motivated. Our on-demand and live via Zoom classes are still available to make taking us with you easy.

The staff and family of your YMCA are ready to assist you during the coming months to ensure that your 2020 holiday season is full of reasons to give thanks for a strong body and clear vision for healthiest you that you can be.

Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
