Encourages leadership development in the area of aquatic safety with a goal to prepare and motivate participates to become lifeguard. The JR. Lifeguard Certification program has a strong focus on developing swimming skills to help you meet the prerequisites for the lifeguard certification course. The program will introduce you to lifesaving skills, such as in-water rescues; use of a rescue tube; and first aid, CPR, and AED. You will also have the opportunity to shadow lifeguards in rotation to get a real sense of being on the job.
