Before/After School Care

At the Y, we believe that learning and fun continue even after the school bell rings. We offer school-age kids and middle school youth a safe, fun place to spend time before and after school while parents manage their work responsibilities. Our licensed before-school and after-school child care programs take place at our Ys and on-site at schools throughout the area. We carefully select our counselors, perform background screenings, and train them for the skills needed to ensure a safe and enriching experience for your child.

In Escambia County, we offer an afterschool program at the Vickrey Community Center (Summit Boulevard) as part of our partnership with the City of Pensacola. This site serves children from AKSuter, NB Cook, Cordova Park, and Scenic Heights. Transportation will be included in the program cost.

In Santa Rosa County, we offer our program at the Betty J. Pullum Family YMCA. Transportation is available to the Pullum Y from all school locations listed below.

Save money on after-school fees when you join the Y. With a Household Membership, the whole family can enjoy the full benefits of the Y while also getting lower rates on Y programs. This includes after-school programs, summer day camp, sports (soccer, flag football, basketball and T-ball/baseball) and swim lessons.

Household Membership is just $72.50/month and includes access to our YMCA branches for two adults and all dependent children in the same household. Household Membership also provides access to more than 90% of YMCAs in the country through Nationwide Membership.

Rates vary by location. In general, the lower weekly cost is for families with Household Membership. If you choose not to join the Y, the higher rate will apply.

*Part Time- If you will be utilizing child care one or two days a week.

*Full Time - If you intend to utilize child care three or more days a week.
