Who is Ashley Shipley?
How long have you worked at the YMCA?
Ashley has worked for us since July 2020.
What is your role at the YMCA?
She started at the Welcome Center and quickly moved into our Before-school and Afterschool Program, driving the van to take the kids to school. She is now going to join our aquatics team as a swim instructor.
What is the most interesting part of your job?
She says the most interesting thing about the job is getting the opportunity to meet some awesome people while developing relationships with each and every member.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
If she could be any animal, it would be a dolphin. Other than the fact they are one of most majestic creatures, they get along with pretty much every other sea animal. They are known to rescue other species. She can relate to that personally, and she absolutely loves the water.
If she could have any job at all, she says she is doing it now, but in the near future she wants to be teaching elementary school aged kids.
