L.I.F.E. ~Life Is Fun Everyday

L.I.F.E is an education and training program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through the ARC Gateway program, participants have the opportunity to learn new skills, access their community, and prepare for employment.

Recently the L.I.F.E. group toured the Bear Levin Studer Family YMCA. Executive Director Bill Seedes met with the group and explained all that the facility has to offer. Seedes hopes that the branch can develop a partnership with the group to host them for a series of Fridays to provide health, wellness and aquatic programming for them.

L.I.F.E. provides an age-appropriate, meaningful day activity that promotes skill acquisition and independence in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Daily activities include workplace readiness, daily living skills, computer literacy, community inclusion, art and recreation, and much more. Concepts and skills are learned through interactive, hands-on activities that take place in different settings throughout the day.

Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
