Barry & Gloria Domin

Gloria and Barry Domin have lived in Navarre for only two years, but it has truly become home for them. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, they first visited the Emerald Coast area around 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the close-knit community of Navarre.

It was a referral from The Andrews Institute that first brought them to the Pullum Family YMCA. They visited the Y, joined and never looked back. You can find the Domins every week attending Senior Fitness classes. The couple are consistent attendees, sharing that, “The best part of the classes each week is spending time with friends.”

This fun-loving and outgoing duo loves Halloween. They love getting a good-natured scare out of the kids. Each year they go all out and create a very impressive Halloween-themed booth for the Pullum Trunk-or-Treat event. This year’s theme was Nightmare Before Christmas. They dressed up as Sally and Jack. It was a big hit with all of the kids.

Another big part of the Domins' time together is spent traveling the United States. Gloria and Barry enjoy camping as they visit national parks, taking in the beauty each has to offer. They credit their 51 years of a happy marriage to their respect and trust they have for one another.

When these two aren’t at the Y or traveling, they love spending time planting vegetables, flowers and fruit trees. Autumn is the pair’s favorite time of year -perfect for spending time outside enjoying the scenery.

Barry and Gloria Domin are living examples of the Y in action: Healthy Living, Social Responsibility and Youth Development. They love maintaining their health, staying connected with friends and find ways to support our youth, all through the YMCA.

We love having you, Barry and Gloria!
