I am an after school counselor at the North East YMCA
What is your favorite part about working for the YMCA?
Getting to interact and help mold young children’s minds so they become productive members of society.
If you could be a Superhero what Superhero would you be?
The Hulk because I pick things up and put them down.
If you could educate our members on one thing that affects you in your job what would it be?
I would like for our members to understand Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. I believe these techniques will help the staff understand why a student is acting the way they are and how we can help them change their behavior.
What do you like doing outside of work?
While I am not working at the YMCA, I enjoy working with the University of West Florida Intercollegiate Athletic Department, fishing, and making personalized cups with my friend.
What do you really do here at the YMCA?
I assist the children in my group with many tasks from learning new games to play, their homework, and help them work out any of the issues they may be having at the time.
