Get Ready To Spin!

If you haven’t tried a Spinning class at the Betty J. Pullum Y yet, here’s a personal invitation to come Spin with Ellen Bergstrom. Ellen has been teaching group fitness for more than 30 years. Spinning class ranks as a favorite of hers to teach. If it is your first time, Ellen is more than happy to help you get correctly set up on a bike to ensure your first experience is the best it can be.

In this 55 minutes of cardio fun on a Spinning bike, Ellen uses intervals, rolling hills, sprints, climbs, surges and jumps, all set to hand-picked music chosen to motivate and inspire you. In addition, she brings her own lighting to help set the scene for more than just a work out, creating a true experience.

If you ask Ellen about her favorite part of Spinning class, she admits she has “the need, the need for speed,” so sprints are her favorite part of the routine. However, what she really loves about Spinning is that it is easily adaptable to all fitness levels and ages, so new and experienced rider will enjoy her class. This is the perfect class if you’re looking to burn calories and increase endurance.

Join the Spinning crew and Ellen on Monday and Friday at 8 am at the Pullum Y. (Several other classes are available on mornings and evenings. Check our mobile app or website.)
