August - Staff Spotlight

"My name is Dylan Davis. I am originally from a small town called Mansfield, Pennsylvania. After high school, I joined the military, where I met my husband. Together we have a wonderful two-year-old daughter named Charlee. On days when I am not working, I love spending time with my family. We love the beach, the library, and eating really good food. I am bubbly and will talk your arm off! I love my job, the people I work with, and the children I watch!"

  • How long have you worked at the Y?

I have worked at the Bear Levin Studer Y since April 21, 2022. Prior to the military, I worked at my local Y from June 2011 to January 2012.

  • What is your role at the YMCA?

I am a KidZone attendant. I take care of the children of the Y while their families utilize the facility.

  • What is the most interesting part of your job?

Watching the children in our care develop and grow, whether it's learning to cope with parent separation or discovering new social skills with others. It's a blessing to see every little one grow in their own way.

  • If you could be an animal, what would you be and why?

A koala bear. Not only are they cute, but they are wonderful mothers. Koalas provide for and play with their babies, getting them ready for life on their own. Plus, it would be nice to smell like eucalyptus all the time!

  • What do you really do at the YMCA?

I foster a safe and fun environment for the children at our Y. This allows parents to take a break, work on themselves, and relax knowing their children are in good hands. I understand that each child is unique and being able to play with others is incredibly important in developing skills to deal with the world we live in.

Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
